Revamp Income Tax law

Dear All,

Is there any need to pay Income Tax? What I feel in the current situation is no need of paying Income Tax. It, actually, is squeezing the citizens of the Nation who dream of having  a sound sleep, after hectic work schedule, for a better tomorrow.
                              Common man bear the brunt

For them, even a 50 paise matters a lot. Even 1 rupee hike in petrol, affects them a lot.

If you analyze, from bus fare to fuel price, electricity tariff to LPG tariff, for everything the price is increasing or doubling daily. In this juncture, two questions arise. Whether we should lead a peaceful life or just serve Union Government as a true citizen?

Reasons - Why not to pay Income Tax

1. All money that citizens' pay is being misused / manipulated by opportunistic politicians. Scandals reign here. So, why should we pay 50 per cent of our money to Union Government that we made from our blood?

2. Price hike for vegetables, fuel, LPG, bus and so on.

3. Huge amount earned by the citizen through his sheer hard work goes to Government in the present situation.

4. 99 per cent citizens are worried over the burden put by IT Department.

Just think of a person who pay Rs 1, 500 every month as Income Tax. In one year, he donates Rs. 18, 000 to the government. If this is the case, can you imagine the amount that person gives in next 10 years? It is huge. So, why a person, by sacrificing his family life and investment, pay Income Tax for such a long period or waste his valuable amount. In a life time, he is dedicating huge sum of amount to Government which is incapable in bringing investments, building infrastructure facilities and countering terrorism, the new threat to common man. So, what is the purpose and the necessity of paying our money for increasing politician's pocket?

Realizing the situation, I think, the Income Department should liberalize the Tax law according to the current socio-economic system. And, the law should be revamped in such a mode that enable citizens to save more.

Plea to Income Tax Department
Liberalize the Income Tax law, considering the welfare of the citizens of our country.
  • Limit the number of years for paying income tax. Put it like pay tax for 8 to 12 years.
  • Reduce the amount of income tax for citizens in various income slabs.
  • Give exemption for senior citizens and women.
  • Relax complex tax laws.
  • Train Income Tax officers to behave well.
  • Never sack / intimidate a citizen who fails to pay tax properly through barbarian approach. The mistake lies in your unrealistic complex laws & rude officers.
If India wants to grow further, Income Tax law should be revamped. It is the need of the hour. Only through investments, Kerala, can also grow. So, IT Department should think twice in making amendments in tax law.

Promote more savings, instead of putting the burden of additional tax on common man.
