Dubai's first low cost airline, flydubai, has registered significant growth in the second year of its operations during the June, 2010-May, 2011, period. The airline says its Available Seats per Kilometre (ASKM) and Revenue Per Kilometre (RPKM) recorded increases of 161 per cent for ASKMs and 181 per cent for RPKMs in June, 2010-May, 2011, vis-a-vis the previous 12 months.
"Another measure of success is to look at how many flights are delayed. Flydubai's record in this area is one of the best in the industry with on-time performance recorded at 85 per cent," the airline said in a statement.
