Chandrasekhar to be State Planning Board Vice- Chairman

Mr. K M Chandrasekhar, who retired as central Cabinet Secretary recently will be the new Vice –Chairman of the Kerala State Planning Board. The Kerala Cabinet on Wednesday decided it accordingly.. Mr. Chandrasekhar, who belonged to the Kerala cadre officer of the Indian Administrative Service, had served as Secretary (Revenue) in the Union Ministry of Finance before becoming the Cabinet Secretary. In Kerala, he had held positions like Principal Secretary (Finance) and Secretary (Industries).

Chandrasekhar will be accorded Cabinet rank. Eminent Economist Dr Prabhat Patnaik was the Vice Chairman during the LDF regime.
