Dr. K G Raveendran honoured with Ernakulathappan Vaidyanath Award for Ayurveda Contributions

Kochi: Renowned Ayurveda physician Dr. K.G. Raveendran has been conferred with the Ernakulathappan Temple’s Vaidyanath Award for his selfless and valuable contributions to the field of Ayurveda.

As part of the Ernakulathappan Temple’s Utsav 2026 celebrations, the Vaidyanath Award was presented by Cochin Smart City Mission Limited CEO Shaji Nair.

Dr. Raveendran, who served at Coimbatore Arya Vaidya Pharmacy for many years, is known for his distinguished clientele, which includes actor Mohanlal, former President K.R. Narayanan, and cricket legend Ravi Shastri, among others.

The award ceremony, held at the temple premises, celebrated Dr. Raveendran’s lifelong dedication to traditional medicine and his role in popularising Ayurvedic practice across the country.
