Travel Corporation of India to maintain Mattancherry Palace

Seven shortlisted companies submitted 'Letters of Intent' for maintaining fourteen monuments under the 'Adopt a Heritage Scheme' of Ministry of Tourism. 

These companies will be the future 'Monument Mitras' who would associate by utilizing their CSR activities. The SBI Foundation has been shortlisted for the adoption of Jantar Mantar, Delhi while TK International Limited has been shortlisted for the adoption of Sun Temple, Konark, Raja Rani Temple, Bhubaneshwar and Ratnagiri Monuments, Jajpur, Odisha.Yatra Online Pvt. Limited has been shortlisted for the adoption of Hampi, Karnataka, Leh Palace in Jammu & Kashmir, Qutub Minar in Delhi and the Ajanta Caves in Maharashtra while Travel Corporation of India Ltd. has been shortlisted for the adoption of Mattancherry Palace Museum in Kochi and Safdarjung Tomb in Delhi. 

Adventure Tour Operator Association of India has been shortlisted for the adoption of Gangotri Temple Area and Trail to Gaumukh and Mt. StokKangri, Laddakh in Jammu and Kashmir while Special Holidays Travel Pvt. Ltd. With Rotary Club of Delhi have been shortlisted for the adoption of Agrasen ki Baoli in Delhi. The NBCC has been shortlisted for the adoption of Purana Quila in Delhi.

The 'Adopt a Heritage Scheme' of Ministry of Tourism was launched on World Tourism Day i.e. September 27, 2017 by the President of India Ram Nath Kovind.
