Edamalakudy: Fight continues
I had written to Prime Minister of India Shri Narendra Modi regarding the plight of tribals living at Edamalakudy near Munnar in Kerala. PM office forwarded the petition to Kerala Chief Minister Shri Pinarayi Vijayan's office directing immediate remedial action. Kerala Chief Minister's office then ordered District Collector, Idukki and Director, Scheduled Tribes Development Department for necessary action in this regard. Earlier National Human Rights Commission, considering my complaint, has ordered Kerala Chief Secretary and Idukki District Collector to submit a detailed report regarding tribes at Edamalakudy.
