Bahrain to expand business ties with Kerala


The Kingdom of Bahrain will expand business ties with Kerala said Bahrain Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa. The focus will be to widen the cooperation between Bahrain and Kerala in culture, education, ayurveda, technology and health top officials said. 

Bahrain to lead Kerala's development 

In a significant move, the Bahrain Government has come forward to set up a special investment fund to bolster infrastructure development in Kerala under the aegis of Bahrain. A special centre will also be opened in Kochi to oversee the country’s financial deals with Kerala, Bahrain Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa conveyed to Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan who was on a three-day foreign visit to the Kingdom.

Meanwhile Bahrain Prime Minister has promised to establish an engineering college for Kerala students residing in Bahrain. 

Additional Chief Secretary, Home and Secretary to the Chief Minister Nalini Netto, Media Adviser John Brittas, leading NRI entrepreneurs M.A. Yusuff Ali, Managing Director, Lulu Group, Ravi Pillai, Managing Director, RP Group and Varghese Kurain, Managing Director, VKL Holdings and journalist Soman Baby were present at the meeting.
