Metro Man Dr. E Sreedharan is the real hero of Kerala. The commissioning of Pachalam Railway Overbridge is another golden feather in the cap of the Dr. E. Sreedharan, principal advisor of Delhi Metro Rail Corporation's (DMRC). The project was completed in a record time - 12 months and it saved Rs 13 crore! First time in the history of Kerala.

The estimated cost of the Pachalam Railway Overbridge project was Rs. 52.70 crore. But the bridge was completed under the leadership of Dr. E. Sreedharan at Rs 39.50 crore, saving 13 crore. The bridge is 330-metre long and 10-metre wide, including a 1.50-metre wide footpath. We are thankful to you dear Metro Man for creating another milestone in Kochi and Kerala....And humble salute to you.
