Thripunithura Hill Palace: Exclusive photos

Had an opportunity to visit Thripunithura Hill Palace, the largest archeological museum in Kerala. The palace, built in 1865, sprawled across 54 acres consists of 49 buildings in the traditional architectural style. The complex has an archaeological museum, a heritage museum, a deer park, a pre-historic park and a children’s park.

Thripunithura Hill Palace constructed by the Maharaja of Cochin is one of the popular film shooting locations. Manichitrathazhu, one of the best Malayalam films, was shot here. Manichitrathazhu directed by Fazil was the all-time highest grossing Malayalam movie of the year 1993, by completing 365 days theatrical run in the all the major cities of Kerala.
