Aster DM Healthcare to pump Rs 1,000 crore in Kerala
UAE-based Aster DM Healthcare, one of the fastest growing hospital chains in Middle East and India, has launched three new healthcare projects in Kerala at an investment of Rs 1,000 crore.
Dr. Azad Moopen, Chairman and Managing Director, Aster DM Healthcare said that new hospitals will add another 1,099 beds, as Aster already has 2,480 beds at its four hospitals in Kerala with more than 4,500 employees. The Kannur project is ready for launch by 2018 and other projects are expected to start functioning by 2020.

Aster MIMS at Kannur and Aster Capital at Thiruvananthapuram are at different stages of construction and planning. The proposal for the new 150-bed Aster Children's Hospital in Kochi is in planning and conceptualisation stage and will be located at the Aster Medcity campus.
Aster DM Healthcare has presence in five states with 11 hospitals and 3,983 beds. As on March 31, the healthcare group has 18 hospitals, 96 clinics and 202 pharmacies spread over nine countries, employing 17,240 full-time employees.
