In my opine, renowned entrepreneur and philanthropist VKC Mammed Koya, Chairman of Kozhikode-based VKC Group, who is elected as MLA from the Beypore constituency should be the next Kerala Industries Minister. VKC Group, founded by VKC Mammed Koya, has an annual turnover of INR 1500 crore. VKC has emerged as one of the leading footwear brands in South India.
VKC Mammed Koya has proved his administration skills as the Mayor of Kozhikode. Within a short span of time, he implemented numerous developmental projects at Kozhikode, the business hub of North Kerala. If he's getting Industries and Commerce portfolio, it will be a big boost to the sector and the state.
