Dr. Polly Mathew, Founder of Somatheeram, Chairman and Managing Director of Somatheeram Health Group passed away. He played a key role in promoting authentic Ayurveda in Europe region. He was also the Managing Director of SomatheeramGmbH, the German wing of Somatheeram Health Group. 

Kovalam-based Somatheeram Ayurvedic Health Resort (http://www.somatheeram.org/) is one of the leading Ayurveda resorts in India. 

Dr. Polly Mathew was the Goodwill Ambassador for the World Malayalee Council (WMC) and recipient of 'Ayurveda Global Pracharak award. He spent more than 30 years in Germany along with his family. Kerala Government has honoured the Somatheeram Ayurvedic Health Resort numerous times for promoting Ayurveda and its exceptional service.
